Garden Planters

Gardens deserve better than plastic pots. Our handwoven garden planters bring natural texture and traditional craftsmanship outdoors, lined with sturdy plastic to keep contents watertight while showing off the beauty of natural willow, rattan and wicker.

Wicker Garden Planters for Every Plant and Position

The range spans tall round planters for statement plants, tapered round planters that nest into corners, square planters for clipped topiary, and deep rectangular planters for window sills, balcony rails and patio edges. Most come with a black plastic lining fitted internally, which holds compost and water without staining or weakening the woven outer.

Garden planters suit cottage gardens, country patios, conservatories, sunrooms, covered porches, balcony gardens and indoor plant displays. The handwoven texture pairs particularly well with trailing plants like ivy and string of pearls, statement specimens like olive trees and acers, and seasonal displays of bulbs, herbs and bedding plants.

How to Choose and Care for a Wicker Garden Planter

Our planters are designed primarily for use under cover or on dry patios, conservatories and porches. While they're more weather-resistant than indoor wicker, prolonged exposure to heavy rain and frost will shorten their life, so ideally bring them under cover during the worst of winter. The plastic lining handles regular watering without issue, but always check it's intact before planting up. For full outdoor use in exposed positions, our wooden boxes and crates may be a better fit.

When choosing a size, think about both the plant and the position. Large round planters (40cm and up) suit statement specimens and small trees. Medium tapered planters (30 to 35cm) handle most flowering and foliage plants. Smaller square and round planters (under 25cm) work for herbs, succulents and small bulbs. Most of ours are sold in matching sets if you want a coordinated grouping.

Beyond planting, these baskets double brilliantly as garden storage for kindling near a fire pit, magazines and throws on a covered patio, or seasonal items like blankets and lanterns on a porch.

Pair garden planters with our garden trugs and tools for outdoor projects, picnic baskets and hampers for outdoor entertaining, or storage hampers for covered outdoor use.
